Throughout my time at CHSG, from Year 7 to 11, I got wonderful support from both teachers and students, especially during the pandemic, when it appeared that we might not be able to complete our GCSEs. Despite the obstacle to regular education, the school found ways to assist my year group and me in achieving the greatest results possible. I completed all of my GCSEs with marks of 5 and above, and I'm now in year 12 studying courses that I enjoy.

In year 11 I did extremely well and achieved above my expected target grades for GCSE. Year 11 helped me to realise and understand the more you put the hard work, effort, time and motivation into your studies the closer you get to succeeding. The teachers were so supportive and provided huge amounts of resources and extra information to help achieve the best possible grades. From the support and effort put into my GCSEs I’m now on the path to reaching my dream career and focusing on the studies I’ve chosen in Sixth Form to get the best grades in my courses to help me then move onto the next stage.

In Year 11, I was struggling with English language. After completing my mocks, I came out with a low score (a grade 5) and was quite disappointed. However, by completing lots of questions and looking through revision guides, I managed to get a grade 8! This has helped me for my next steps in Sixth Form, as I needed at least a 6 to do my chosen A-Level subjects. Now, I have been able to do subjects I really enjoy and Sixth Form has been a great experience so far. CHSG offered great support throughout Year 11 and despite the stress of exams the teachers actually made the year really enjoyable by helping us to celebrate every success and milestone.
