As part of this development, the school is moving over from Show My Homework to Microsoft Teams (via Office 365) for the setting of homework. This decision has been based on the increasing cost of using Show My Homework  for the school and the fact that we have access to Microsoft Office already, which includes the ability to set homework via Teams.

For this reason, students have not been provided with a homework planner for this academic year as we intend to place all resources and homework online over the next few weeks instead. We will do this gradually to ensure that students feels confident being able to access the homework tasks and resources they need,, avoiding unnecessary stress. To aid with this switch, students will receive paper copies of any resources they need from their class teachers for homework tasks that are set in case they cannot access them via MS Teams for the first two weeks. In addition, Year 7 students are being made familiar with using Microsoft Teams in their Computer Science lessons this month and students in Years 8-13 will be having sessions during their afternoon Personal Development Programme (PDP) sessions.  

Key Points:

• Up until the 17^th September homework will be set for Years 8-13 via Show My Homework
• From the 20^th September homework will be set via Microsoft Teams for Years 8-13
• For two weeks all homework worksheets or activities not in booklets or online must have an electronic copy on Teams and a physical copy given to the student (20^th Sept – 8^th Oct) in case students struggle to access resources on Teams.
• From 4^th Oct all homework and resources will be on Microsoft Teams exclusively
• Year 7 are set no homework at all until the w/b 4th October and from then until half term it is only Core subjects, via MS Teams, with physical copies of resources given to students for the first two weeks also. After half term, it is set for all subjects, with all resources placed on Microsoft Teams.
