Start of Term Arrangements

What to wear/bring:

In September students should:

  • Be in full school uniform
  • Have the embroidered school bag
  • Have her pencil case and equipment with her
  • Water bottle
  • There is no need for students to bring their PE/Dance kit that day

On the first day, students will be in their tutor group with their Form Tutor completing the induction day activities before experiencing their first two lessons here at CHSG. The Year 7 team, support staff and Year 11 volunteers will be on hand to help the day run smoothly.

In September, for those students whose parents have given their consent, we register the students for the biometric cashless catering system allowing them to begin using the canteen.

Please ensure your daughter has money on her ParentPay account from September. Letters will be sent to parents at the end of August with full details of how to set up their ParentPay account. See the school website for details if you need further information regarding school meals.

Timings of the school day for the first week back

Students should use the gate that connects the school to the park next door, located in Wrythe Recreation Ground. Please do not come to the main blue gates. Students will need to line up in their tutor group. There will be a clear sign to indicate all tutor groups. Please do not come to the school site to drop your daughter at school and there is no parking on site available.

Timings of the school day for the rest of the academic year

After the first day of term, Year 7 students will revert to the normal school day timings. These are from 8.30am - 3pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 2.35pm on a Friday.

Students are only allowed on site from 8.10am and are considered late if they are not in their designated area by 8.30am.

All After School Clubs run from 3pm to 4pm and more information about these will follow in due course.

We look forward to seeing our students in September and when they will begin their journey into #TEAMCHSG.
